These terms of use are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland and you agree that the courts of Northern Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in any dispute.

Our Policies in Relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking

Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion.

Due Diligence Processes

We undertake due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and regularly review our existing suppliers. Our due diligence includes evaluating the modern slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier, and reviewing suppliers' policies and procedures relating to modern slavery.

Risk Assessment and Management

Due to the nature of our business as a technology consulting company, we assess ourselves to have a low risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains.

Our supply chains are limited and we procure goods and services from a restricted range of UK and overseas suppliers, mainly through established frameworks and reputable technology vendors.

We understand that modern slavery risk is not static. We actively monitor our supply chains and undertake selective due diligence. We will immediately implement risk mitigation and remedial measures should the situation change.

Effectiveness Measures

Happysoft Consulting uses the following key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of our efforts to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our business or supply chains:

• Completion of due diligence on all new suppliers before engaging their services
• Annual review of existing supplier relationships
• Zero reported incidents of modern slavery or human trafficking within our business or supply chains
• Staff awareness and understanding of modern slavery risks

Training and Capacity Building

We will continue to embed the principles through:

• Providing awareness training to staff on the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and informing them of the appropriate action to take if they suspect a case of slavery or human trafficking.
• Ensuring staff involved in procurement activity are aware of and follow modern slavery procurement guidance.
• Ensuring that staff involved in buying or procurement and the recruitment and deployment of workers receive training on modern slavery and ethical employment practices.
• Ensuring that consideration of the modern slavery risks and prevention are added to our policy review process as an employer and procurer of goods and services.
• Making sure our procurement strategies and contract terms and conditions include references to modern slavery and human trafficking continuing to take action to embed a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery.

Our Staff

Happysoft Consulting carries out employment checks to ensure that employees have the necessary documentation to legally work in the UK (or the country in which they are employed) and no one under the legal minimum age for admission to work is ever employed by Happysoft.
